Small Steps

Girls, my letter to the editor of 'Lifeline', a Y-Me National Breast Cancer Organization quarterly magazine was published. It was in regards to a male breast cancer survivors letter about making awareness possible. The Editor wrote the statistics underneath, which I adored the gesture, my ultimate goal. The estimated number of new cases for women are down 16% and the rate for men are UP 15% from last year.

I want to thank all my friends here at HER2support for the love, support and prayers. I especially want to thank everyone for allowing me to speak here and voice my feelings and concerns. You all have accepted me with open arms as a caregiver not the patient. You have given advice, smiles, hope, prayers. I am empowered by your strength, your wisdom, your warrior fight. I could never do this caregiver role as well as I do without my GIRLS!! An entire lifetime could go by and I would never be able to thank you.

Please read the Letters to the Editor of the 'Lifeline' Y-Me magazine if you recieve the publication. If you do not get the magazine, I strongly recommend that you look into recieving it, a small but good read.

I love and pray each day for all of my ANGELS here each and every day and hope that I can give to you an iota back of all you give to us!!>Waiting For A Miracle> Believe51...(Marie G)

Hi Marie,

I am also an IBC patient who in fact has just celebrated my 6th anniversary this month. Someone on the IBCsupport.org list just mentioned that they read your letter in the Y-Me magazine concerning your husband's IBC and wondered if you knew about the IBC Support list.
As I am on both lists I said that I would write to you to let you know about the IBC list and that you would be most welcome to join the group of several hundred members and caregivers with IBC.
