Wink Xeloda-Navelbine Hair Care

Ladies and Gents-Can anyone comment on hair loss with xeloda and Navelbine. I just started my clinical trial with the 2 along with Herceptin which I have been on for @9 months. I am told I may have hair thinning but not loss from my nurse at oncology. When I aked another nurse she said I would not need a wig.......but any "heads-up" would be appreciated. Also is it ok to color my roots? Thick or thin.......gone or in.........I still care about my hair. Just received a new edition of Cure today. Cathy aka Ceesun

I am also on Navalbine , only 2 doses so far, but have noticed some thinning of hair already. I asked my daughter if coloring your roots would make it even thinner and she thought not, she is a licensed beautician. I wish you the best and hope and pray the Navalbine works for us both. I am on it with Herceptin. Much love, Vickie

I started Navelbine last June 2006 and I do not have hair loss or thining so far. My hair is still so short though after I loss all of it when I had another chemo combo back in July - Dec 2005.

Best wishes to you.
