Change of plans

Well, I was all set to go. This morning was terrible, my sister got me up to get ready to go to chemo. She started having trouble breathing, I was terrified for her. I finally convinced her to let her husband take her to the emergency room. They are still there as I type this. Brother in law just called to tell me they are taking every precaution because of symptoms. They drew blood and did xrays and EKG they also gave her nitro and ativan. They are waiting for results from everything. I rescheduled my first chemo for next Tuesday the 5th at 9am. In a way I'm glad I don't have to go today, the port area is extremely sore this morning. I'll let you know how everything is going. Please keep my sister in your thoughts and prayers, she is the most awesome person I know.
Hugs
Susan

Hello Susan,

I am so sorry to hear about your sister. My thoughts are with you both. I read your posts with interest for two reasons...we both have the same name (Susan) and we seem to be on the exact same track with treatment. Now that yours has been rescheduled, we will both be receiving our very first chemo on Tuesday, Spetember 5th. My appt is at 12:45..I made it later so that I could get my kids off to school...I wish you the best...Lets compare notes after our first chemo session. veitchers@aol.com

Susan,

saying a prayer for your sister. I know you are scared for her. I pray that that her doctors will know what's causing her symptoms soon.

Hugs,
Lexi
