Question Keppra

I was wondering if any of you have or are taking Keppra for seizures and if so, how did you do with it and what may I expect? Thank you.

I was put on Keppra for my my crainiotomy that I had about 6 weeks ago. I was on dilantin for 1 1/2 weeks when I developed a fever and a rash. I was then put on Keppra. It made me want to sleep all the time. I teach third grade and was back at school at week after the surgery. It would have been impossible for me to stay on it and continue to teach. Although my surgeon wanted me on it for a few months, I was able to convince him to allow me to discontinue it due to the side effects. I should say that the nurse told me that my fatigue was due to the allergic reaction from the dilantin which takes a while to get out of the system. Who knows.
Best wishes and good luck with it.
