Has anbody ever used Temodar after a craniotomy? We are thinking of trying Temodar on the brain Mets.

Hi Ray,

I had a craniotomy last spring, but they only implanted radiation seeds, also called a brachytherapy. The very tiny seeds will be left in my brain forever, so I'm not needing another surgery to take out the seeds. They do sometimes go back to surgery & extract seeds, though.

Temodar sounds awfully familar to me, but I'd need for my memory to be refreshed once again! Is it an I.V. or does it come in the pill form? Chemo or anti-something drug?...

Ray, what have you decided about including
Temodar or not?

I took Temodar for almost 10 months and got a reoccurrance so I went off of it. With Zofran it is very tolerable. It works very well in primary brain tumors rather than brain mets. It is given oral and is a fortune. More than Herceptin!! I believe I took it every 21 days for a week or so. It was a few years ago.
