brain mets

Has anybody had approx 8mets treated with gamma knife. I had 1 treated early this yr now 8 little ones have appeared may have been there before have no symptoms but need to know my options.

My first dx of brain mets was Sept. '02. I've had a total of 16 brain mets treated with five seperate focalized radiation treatments over the course of 18 months. At one point there were 14 lesions on MRI. My treatments took the largest, most critical areas of brain lesions in batches of four at a time twice with seven months inbetween.

Then the final six were treated in two days with CyberKnife several months later.

So far, I have avoided and continue to refuse whole brain radiation doing these focalized treatments.
