Just thought I'd weigh in with my reaction to the BC diagnosis--I remember total shock at the doctor's office then going home and going to bed and crying for about 3 days--I just wanted to stay in bed with my husband, two kids (ages 3 and 5 at the time) and my dog...at that time I did sleep as a way of not dealing with the diagnosis, but after I was all cried out, I got out of bed and went outside into the sunshine and decided to participate in life for as long as I was able...I slept well during treatment because the chemo made me sooo tired, but now that I'm off treatment and NED I can't sleep at night because I'm worried about a recurrence....I do have a relaxation tape that I listen to sometimes which does seem to help. It's interesting to note how many of us on this board are up late at night reading these posts and sharing our thoughts and fears...I'm so glad to have this outlet! Take care everyone--Audrey
