My docs opinion is if you are her2/neu + only -it doesn't matter when you try to get preg. although they would like to wait for the first two years since that seems to be the highest chance for recurrence. If you are ER/PR+, they would like for you to wait the 5 years until the Tamox. is over. I know of several ladies that have successfully gotten pregnant and had healthy babies...and remain NED. I think there are differences in opinion everywhere you ask. It is my personal belief that if you really want a child then you should do whatever you can to have one. As someone said earlier, being a parent never guarantees that you will live forever anyway. Anything can happen to anyone. I had a friend who died within a week after she gave birth to her second child from a stroke during delivery. Those two children are greatly loved and wonderful kids.
