Absolutely a belated birthday to you!

Sitting on the rocks,
Watching the waves crash in, then gently roll out,
I think of life's ebb and flow.
Its most uncertain certainty and the emotions that wash in and out like grains of sand.
With the smell of the ocean, I breathe in hope.
With the flight of the birds, I release my fears.
