Re: my beautiful wife update
William, I send you my heartfelt sympathies as well. I recall what one of my first chemo nurses said...BC is a very unpredictable disease...I know that doesn't make it any easier at this most difficult time. Ceesun

Re: my beautiful wife update
William,
Reading your post serves to remind all of us that it is not only the patient who has cancer. Our loved ones are also hit with the disease. I am so deeply sorry to hear of your beautiful wife Carol losing her battle with this very difficult disease.
This is such sad news - but please realize that you did all you could. Treatment choices are difficult and there are no right or wrong answers...no one knows at this time what is the perfect choice. We are all making decisons on our beliefs at the time of current information.
These are dark days for you William and I pray that you are strengthen with the knowledge that you were a loving and supportive husband who did everything possible.
Sincerely,
Jean

My husband is a William too. What a pillar of strength and comfort he has been. As I know you were. What a blessing to have a caring husband at our side. Any decisions were made with love and the best intentions, based on the information available. Can't do more than that. Don't harbor regret. Keep the faith.God bless you and your family

Re: my beautiful wife update
William,
And what about her beautiful husband....you....yes YOU! You were her rock of support and clearly you have a heart of gold. Why in your time of despair, you had the presence of mind to log on and thank US!
William, you are selfless. And we are fortunate to be touched by you and your beautiful wife. Another angel has earned her wings. God speed to you as you try and pull the pieces of your life together when all around you feels like it has fallen apart. We would be honored if staying with us helps you at all. You are always a member of our community.
love Kim from CT

Re: my beautiful wife update
William
So sorry to read your post about your wife. Please know that this is never a given path with certainty, we do what seems the best at the time and always hope for the best. Unfortunately, for all the drugs, treatments etc, the outcome for each of us is really not in our hands. Many say GOD ONLY TAKES THE BEST...guessing thats why he called your wife home. Please know we are here for you in anyway to help you again adjust to another new normal....cherish the memories and love, they will sustain you!

Re: my beautiful wife update
William, I'm sorry to hear of your loss. Please don't beat yourself up for what you feel that you may, or may not have done, in Carol's final hours. I'm sure you did your best, with what you had to work with. Please don't be a stranger. Take care of yourself, brother.
