Does any one have ER/PR negative and Her2 Negative

There may already be an answer for this and I just missed it but I found out yesterday that I am Her 2 negative and I am also ER/PR negative. My Oncologist will be giving me Doxorubicin for 4 treatments every 2 weeks.
My tumor was 2 cm, grade III, stage I and no cancer in my nodes.
My question is does anyone else have this type of cancer and how are you doing?

Many people on these boards are in your situation debi and have done well, particulary with the caveat of Herceptin added to their adjuvant treatment regimen. Wishing you well.

Debi,

Are you Her2 negative, or positive? Most of the women on this board are Her2+++. There are, however, a lot of women who are er/pr- and Her2-, who are doing very well. Breastcancer.org has a specific thread for er/pr- women and I know some of them are, triple negative (er/pr- and Her2-), too.

Triple negative: case report of treatment with SMTKI

In the latest issue of Breast Cancer Update (2006 issue 4) in an audio interview Dr Cathy Miller (who has been involved in various clinical trials) describes the potential benefits of small molecule tyrosine kikase inhibitors (SMTKIs) in breast cancer. This still early in clinical research but may be of interest to you.
You can access the website at:

The audio tracks of interest (if you do not want to listen to the complete interview are # 10 & 11
