A trial on 3 people : 2 cured one 70% decrease..

I know it is not for BC and was tested on CLL but in principle since it is expansion of WBC that made this possible.. we all could benefit

Incredible results what is the world waiting for..?

This looks promising. I hope the scientists can develop drugs or treatments like this for all cancers.

In each of the patients as much as five pounds of cancerous tissue completely melted away in a few weeks, and a year later it is still gone.

In similar past experimental treatments for several types of cancer the re-injected white cells killed a few cancer cells and then died out. But the Penn researchers inserted a gene that made the white blood cells multiply by a thousand fold inside the body. The result, as researcher June put it, is that the white blood cells became “serial killers” relentlessly tracking down and killing the cancer cells in the blood, bone marrow and lymph tissue.

As the white cells killed the cancer cells, the patients experienced the fevers and aches and pains that one would expect when the body is fighting off an infection, but beyond that the side effects have been minimal.
Hell yeah..
I know it's a blood cancer..but if the trans-cancer type issue with immune therapy has been wbc dying out before the job is done, perhaps they have turned the key. Dunno...I thought the issue in solid tumors is cancer cells being "invisible" to the immune system. Let's hope that aint the case.

I did to Rich but wonder if this quantum shift in thinking is what we need to be concentrating on?

The hiv virus was used to introduce a gene that homed in on CLL cancer as oppose to simply stimulate the immune system so perhaps the same technique could be used to home in on her2..maybe maybe.. Also the patient that got 70% decrease was seen by another hospital because he was feeling unwell and they prescribed him steroids which may have stopped the reaction.
