No guilt!

You are so sweet! I'm new here but really wanted to say you that YOU (and all of us!) deserve every day we have of life! You know, our bodies really can live to be 110-115 pretty easily - we just have to believe it! And... well, small other hurdles - like beat the big C! But I believe you can, and will! Thank you for your inspiration! Karen

So sorry to hear the results of your test but there
are lots of drugs to try and I will be sending healing
thoughts and my prayers your way. Maybe sooner
than later on some type of treatment.

Dear Tricia. I am so sorry to read that you have to fight again. I hope you will find the right weapons with your onc. to kill the beast, once more, like you always did so courageously. I am sending you strength and love.Michka

You are such a pioneer and a trailblazer. I trust you have many more years of fighting ahead of you. Your oncologist sounds wonderful. A good oncologist is a blessing, like a good husband. (It's easier to switch oncologists!)

Re: 6-month checkup

Tricia,

It's hard to cope with the news of another nodule, and thankfully it's only one spot. Your oncologist seems to be right on top of everything.

It seems that you were NED for five years. If that's the case, you stand a very good chance of beating back the cancer to NED again.

Hugs,

Joan

Cancer advanced to lung in Jan. 2007 (1 cm nodule). Started Herceptin every 3 weeks. Lung wedge resection April 2007. Cancer recurred in lung April 2008. RFA of lung in August 2008. 2nd annual brain MRI in Oct. 2008 discovered 2.6 cm cystic tumor in left frontal lobe. Craniotomy Oct. 2008 (ER-/PR-/HER2-) followed by targeted radiation (IMRT). Coughing up blood Feb. 2009. Thoractomy July 2009 to cut out fungal ball of common soil fungus (aspergillus) that grew in the RFA cavity (most likely inhaled while gardening). No cancer, only fungus. Removal of tiny melanoma from upper left arm, plus sentinel lymph node biopsy in Feb. 2016. Guardant Health liquid biopsy in Feb. 2016 showed mutations in 4 subtypes of TP53. Repeat of Guardant Health biopsy in Jana. 2021 showed 3 TP53 mutations, BRCA1 mutation and CHEK2 mutation. Invitae genetic testing showed negative for all of these. Living with MBC since 2007. Stopped Herceptin Hylecta (injection) treatment in March 2020. Recent 2021 annual CT of chest, abdomen and pelvis and annual brain MRI showed NED. Praying for NED forever!!
