I agree completely with Flori, your heart will tell you when it is time to let go. Your heart knows that it is NOT that time yet. There are many more options, and you need a Dr. that will help you find them.

Sounds like you are on the right track in terms of securing the professional assistance that you deserve. Help is waiting in the wings so gather hope from the knowledge that there ARE more options out there. You and your support team will find them.

I agree with Flori. Just because one doc is out of ideas that doesn't mean all docs are out of ideas. I would get another opinion. Please keep putting one foot in front of the other. I am cheering for you way over here in Hawaii.

M D Anderson is definitely the place to go. A friend of mine whose 70-year-old Mother was told to go home because there's nothing the doctors (in 'my' hospital) could do for her end-stage lung cancer. She had been given three months. Her daughter - a nurse by training though hadn't worked since she's got children - took her to Houston and consulted with the doctors there. Mrs. Liao lived anoher three years - was given enough time to enjoy her grand children and give her testamony at church.

7-23-2018 9 mm groundglass nodule within the right lower lobe with indolent behavior. Due to possible adenocarcinoma, Recommend annual surveilence.
7-10-2019 CT to check lung nodule.
1-10-2020 8mm stable nodule on R Lung, two 6mm new ones on L Lung, a possible lymph node involvement in inter fissule.
