Eric,
this is good news that Caryn qualified for the trial.
I am praying the odds will be in your favor....out of 17
one had complete remission...that is great news...
2 stable, 2 partial...hey that is impressive.

Think strong and positive.

Best Regards,
Jean

Thanks all!
To keep you updated, Caryn had her first infusion last week and happily only had a headache the day of the infusion and the day after. She was happy it wasn't anything more.
On a less positive note her liver functions were slightly elevated so her treatment is postponed until next week. I'll keep you informed since the drug goes from 10mg to 100mg.

Love and Light (in memory of Lisa),
Eric

Out of trial

Unfortunately, Caryn's not going to be able to continue on this trial after only one infusion. She missed last weeks infusion since her liver functions were elevated and this week 2 of her functions are slightly high. Considering that the 1st infusion is only one tenth the dosage that she would recieve on the 2nd and 3rd infusion, I can't imagine what her functions would have been after that. Our thought is to take a break from trials and go back to something more traditional for now. We're both very disappointed and scared as she's running through a bunch quickly. All we need though, is to hit the right drug to buy us a good amount of time until some better options are available. Thanks for all your positive wishes and I'll let you know what the next step in the plan is, as soon as I know.

Eric,

I am sorry to hear that Caryn cannot continue on the trial. Hopefully her liver functions will stabilize and the next treatment will work for her. Please let her know that from one Caryn to another, I am thinking of her.

all the best

Eric,

Sorry to hear the news about Caryn. Her liver probably needs a rest from the trials as you mentioned. Please let her know that she's in my thoughts and prayers.

Joan
