Okay. I hope you all are using a pseudonym, because if you do a search on your screen name, all your posts come up in google. I'm in the process of deleting some now.

So???
I have been aware of this for some time and if finding out more about breast "canser" help some one else: great. I doubt if anyone can steal my identity from here.
Love & hugs,

I believe you,but my name did not come up
Thanks for the heads up on the google search. I use my real name on the Her2 Site. My name is common....catherine Davis....when I googled it, I keep moving thru the pages and never found one that brought up my Her2 posts. I kind of do not want them just sitting out there. How do I delete. Should I change my name on the Her2 site.
Thanks for your advice.
What does Joe say?

Catherine,
Your posts are signed Catherine without the last name therefore you won't find them that way. But say you Google "catherine her2" your posts might come up. However, anyone reading the posts can still see everything you have posted just by looking you up in the members list. I don't know what DIlly is doing to delete them but they still seem to be showing under her name.
Hope this helps,
Marlys

From Joe,
The HER2Support Group believes in the complete autominity of all of its members. We do not care what username you register under as long as you keep that username for all of your posts. All we require is that you have a valid email address. You have the option of making that available to all members or just to the administrator (myself).
WE WILL NOT SHARE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION ABOUT OUR MEMBERS WITH ANYONE.
Regards
Joe

I thought anyone could read the posts anyway, and you can't read the profiles unless you are signed-in. I googled PinkGirl+Her2 and all my posts came up. But I figure anyone can see them on the site anyway.

I also looked up my name and found one of my posts. There is so much other stuf on there though I don't think it would be of much interest. This being an open forum in the first place and my private info is kept private, I'm not concerened as to who sees anything I have to say.
thanks for the heads up though. It may aply to other things I'm not aware of.

Dear Joe
I sent you a private message entitled 'Privacy' on 29 August about this very subject. Perhaps you haven't seen it. Would be grateful for a reply.
Thank you.

That is correct.......this is an open forum. Anyone can read our posts. Like Joe said, our private information is just that, private, so no one has to worry. I found this thread interesting because I am so computer illiterate that I didn't realize if I typed in "marejo" I could find "stuff" out there by "marejo" It makes sense, if your name is out their in cyberland somewhere all you'd have to do is google and up it will come in. Amazing really, isn't it? How all that stuff can be found.
Make it a great day.
Mary Jo
