Mets treatment

Results of latest PET/CT reflects positive fore three nodules on my rt. lung, an internal mammory lymph and a small node along the esophogas. I have had acx4, taxolx12 and have been on weekly herceptin since August or so. For those of you with lung mets that have cleared up, what was your treatment? Is surgery to remove nodules on lungs an option? Not sure what dr. will recommend, but would love to hear what has worked for those of you out there who have seen some measure of success.

I had 2 small lung mets, was treated with Taxotere, Herceptin and Xeloda. I was given a triple coctail, with the Taxotere given every 3 weeks and Herceptin weekly. I have been NED since April. I don't know about surgery for lung mets, I don't think it's as common as for liver. My sister in law had one single lung met from bladder cancer and they went in there and removed it. My thoughts have always been , heck go in there and remove the thing if it doesn't respond..guess it's not that simple..sherryg683
