Clincal trial is working!
Hi Ladies!
I am on a clincal trial herceptin/omnitarg. I completed two cycles and did a scan the tumor they were measuring for the study was stable! The other tumor not measuring for the study, but they did anyway, actually got smaller!!
My liver was clear a few months ago, but this scan the contrast couldn't be used and the pictures were unclear, doc thought to his eye it was fine, but next time an IV team will have to get the contrast in....
So, I continue on for 2 more cycles and then another scan. On this trial, I have MUGA scans very often...I am glad I qualified and it is giving me a very good QOL as well as results!!
I am in Canada BTW. Thinking of you all, and reading the boards alot!

Robyn,
Glad to hear the good news! It's amazing how many women on this board have been or are in clinical trials all with seemingly good results. You lead the way for the rest of us. You are to be admired. Hope your scans continue to show improvement.

Omnitarg is similar to Herceptin. It is a targeted therapy. If you search this site, someone put a wonderful description of how it works. It is supposed work well along with Herceptin. So far, so good!

That's great news and hopefully it will continue to help and work. We need to hear this kind of encouraging news more often.
