Breast MRI Result - General Haziness throughout
Hello -
I thank all of you for the information I've been able to gather from all of your posts. It has been a great resource.
My 38 year old sister was diagnosed in April of 2006 with Stage IV (this was the initial BC diagnosis) breast cancer (Her2+++, ER/PR-). Large tumor in left breast and 5-6 areas of bone mets. After 4 cycles of Taxol/Carbo/Herceptin + Zometa, the primary tumor is gone (no surgery) and all of the areas of affected bone show healing only.
Now, however, they are seeing something on an MRI and Ultrasound, throughout both breasts, that they are calling "diffuse haziness". They cannot biopsy it because it's too "wispy". So they are going to "keep an eye on it". I'm wondering if anyone else has had experience or can comment on a "diffuse haziness" throughout both breasts.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Amy
