No tea when taking Coumadin

I was surprised to learn that you should avoid tea when taking Coumadin. I have been drinking tea right alongside of taking coumadin.

Does anyone know why tea should be avoided in this case??

Thanks

Suzan,

You are so sweet to think of me. Glad I could offer something to all my friends on this site. Dont really know just where I would be with out all of you.
Doing pretty well - had my 5th trt today - and now will have my final and 6th TCH...yippee for Me! then herceptin for one yr.

It is a long and rather strange journey...Today the onc. here at Hackensack Med. Ctr. send he was sending in my case to a major review report board for out of the box cases. Which he feels I am and so do I.

I am the only case he has that was dx. with a small tumor had Oncotype test
come back off the charts with this small tumor score was 46....
had radiation and a yr later started the chemo....Thank God I saw Dr. Slamon
also had the TOPO 11 test (cutting edge) oncs. here in NY advised A/C
after Oncotype came back. But after seeing Dr. S....and he did the TOPO 11
which came back negative - he advised TCH....

God is soooo Good and so is the site!

Will keep everyone posted.

Jean
