Remembering Our Sister Sheila on her 64th birthday

Today my Mother Sheila would have turned 64. In honor of her life I am asking you to perform a random act of kindness in her honor and "Be kinder than necessary for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle" Sheila is gone but never forgotten..

Consider it done. Your mother was a wonderful woman who added so much to the "family" here at Her2 support. She and I corresponded frequently as we both joined at about the same time, and are (were!) the same age. What a great tribute.

Loved your mom's posts. Random act of kindness will happen tomorrow in honor of you and your mom. So sorry she is gone. Thinking of you.

I loved Sheila like a sister.

She inspired me to be "kinder than necessary." One thing I've started doing is making a point of looking people in the eye and saying something friendly and personal. Or, on the phone, being extra nice and appreciative, especially of customer service people. Everyone loves to be appreciated and praised. Everyone needs to be noticed, to feel they count as human beings.

Happy birthday, Sheila. And blessings to you, Jen.

Most definitely witll do in your mom, Sheila's memory. I had the pleasure of meeting her for lunch and enjoyed our friendship. She was a wonderful woman.

Thanks, Jen. For bringing back the memory of Sheila and her motto. I've shared that quote with many friends on different occasions. No, Sheila will not be forgotten.

Here is one of her inspiring threads: http://her2support.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=51448
