hello everyone,
I am actually looking for some information concerned with taxol (http://www.bbonlinepharmacy.com/product/803/taxol-paclitaxel/). My mother is actually starting a treatment from it and i feel a bit conecerned to have more information about it. Her doctor was doing her treatment with lanvis (http://www.drugdelivery.ca/s3595-s-LANVIS.aspx) and as far as knowledge goes, her treatment wa going swifty and wih no real problem.
But then, the doctor changed his treatment and i am not sure if it due to better health conditions or worse ones...
ant hints from you?

Hi AW,

I have no experience with lanvis, although the link showed it to be cytotoxic, as is the AC many of us start treatment with. For many of us we do AC and follow up with taxol and Herceptin. It's not uncommon to do different series of drugs. The thought is if the first drug missed anything, the second may kill off any remaining circulating tumor cells. Taxol has side effects such as pain in extremeties. (Take B6 supplements for this) Go to purple bar at top of page to search and search taxol or taxotere or paclitaxel to get more feedback. It seems a lot of us had issues with the taxol premeds, ie, decadron. In past studies taxol has shown a positive synergy with Herceptin and it also helps to radiosensitize cancer cells prior to rad treatment.

If you don't get many replies, repost in a couple of weeks and include more of the path report. Good Luck, BB
