I found this copy of a very interesting article from Science Magazine. I have also mentioned in a thread on the main board, but thought that it was so interesting that it should be repeated here.

"..the fact that PET detects tumors is more evidence for a high level of glucose uptake." To me, a lay person, that in itself seems enough reason to research glycolysis.

I have no idea where glucose fits in but have seen it mentioned.

Your post made me look out for it.

Glucose is reported in arthritis studies as increasing COX 2 expression so I will keep an eye out for trials with more info.

Also your post led me by accident to an article on critical injury and sepsis which has helped me get a glimmer of understanding as to how the inate immune system (of which omega six eicosanoid pathway is an important part.)

Thank you for this information. I had read that cancer loves sugar, so reduce intake to perhaps assist in 'starving' those cells.
