Herceptin

I am a breast cancer survivor. I was diagnosed Dec. 2003. My last chemo was 5/12/04. I had a double mastectomy and reconstruction. My cancer marker is great. I am looking at doing just herceptin treatments every three weeks for one year as a preventative measure. Is there anyone doing this and what are the side effects from this treatment?

Running nose (first few weeks, but has stopped)
Insomnia on and off
slight tiredness

However, these are nothing like chemo and it is quite possible to live a normal life.

Did you gain much weight while being on just the herceptin? I gained weight during my initial chemo treatments and have had a time getting back down to where I was.

For about a week after each herceptin treatment I get red spots on my face, neck and chest. Everybody is different though.
