cure rate for stage 2?

Okay, another question....my oncologist says that if I complete all of my treatments (surgery, chemo, herceptin) that my chance of being "cured" is at least 90%. Does that mean it's possible that I could live a normal lifespan? It doesn't seem possible....

Re: cure rate for stage 2?

It is very possible and probable. I am Stage 2 and I am still here. It will be 7 years in the beginning of September. Have faith and enjoy everything and everyone.

Everyone dies, we just don't know how or when. Don't think this is how and now.

It is so scary. I know (we know). Scariest thing ever but you will make it through and thrive. We are here for you.

Re: cure rate for stage 2?

Unless you get hit by a bus, crash your car or get caught in crossfire, you will most probably die in bed of old age.

Go celebrate!

Hugs

Re: cure rate for stage 2?

When first dx. wtih breast cancer it is normal to think we will die and very soon. Most of us when dx. thought,
Oh, #*@! the end is near. Having caught your bc early,
the new treatments and advances have changed our odds
greatly. You will be counting out the years also....take a deep breath ....ahhhh and enjoy everything.
