Awesome, maybe another treatment that will assist herceptin, make us all skinny and our joints will be very healthy!

Diagnosed 2007
Stage IIb Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, Pagets, 3 of 15 positive nodes

Traditional Treatment: Mastectomy and Axillary Node Dissection followed by Taxotere, 6 treatments and 1 year of Herceptin, no radiation

Aspirin blocks IL-6. So do omega-3 fatty acids. There are a few other natural substances that do the same, including estrogen (not great news for the triple positives among us).

On the other hand, exercise promotes IL-6. I'm thinkin' the new workout equipment I just bought will have to gather cobwebs for a couple of months until I'm done with Herceptin. (I guess it's all to the good that I've been too exhausted to exercise up until now.)

7/11/13 Aricept 5mg for cognitive impairment; increased to 10mg as of 8/23/13; back to 5mg 12/2013
5/2014 Add Namenda 7mg
9/2014 Stop Aricept and Namenda; Neuropsychological evaluation
10/24/14 Start cognitive rehabilitation therapy
