Find out what you did to your hip so you can get physical therapy and rest it properly.
For the bra problem, try "Barely There" by Warner's. They are kind of a bra to wear to bed but I discovered them when I first had surgery and wear them alot (just not running because they truly don't have enough support for that) but they do have enough for anything else (and I am a 38D so...) Also, tank tops with the bra built in work too - not the greatest support in the world but they work and are comfortable.
Try again for Ambien or Lunesta but in the meantime, does Benadryl make you sleepy? It makes me sleepy and I take it on the road with me when I travel for work because I sometimes can't get to sleep too well then. Also, Tylenol PM is the same - benadryl active and tylenol (for pain). Pain could be some of the problem.
Also a glass of wine or a Bailey's could help with some relaxation visionalization (don't do this with the Benadry though - although, umm?!)
Don't give up on trying to get something. If you have pain (with the hip), pain medication at bedtime can help with both if you take a Percoset then or something (a dual purpose).
I have some great economics and biology books that are sure to put you right to sleep if you try reading them before bed too
