Follow-up with "brainy" docs today
Just a quick note to say that I have my first follow-up with the brain surgeon and rad onc this afternoon. I sure hope that the staples can come out as now that the swelling is down, it is actually MORE uncomfortable (I want to turn my head a little bit now). And maybe I will be able to sleep a little better with some of that pressure off.
They should have the pathology back, so let's pray that I don't need further attention to this place in my lower brain.
Missed my regular 3-week Herceptin today as can't drive due to neck position and no one to take me till Thurs., which is OK as I have that 2-day window to stay on schedule.
More later - back to bed and a little more sleep, I hope.

Your appt. today
Dear Steph,
I know this has got to be a very anxious time for you right now(I know how anxious I'm feeling for you) We want to know that all the aggressive treatment we have undergone is paying off. I just believe in my heart that it will payoff and you will be back on track in no time.
I am waiting for insurance approval for my next 3 month MRI. As you may recall from my earlier posts, the company that my husband worked for was bought out by a huge national company and we were not sure if we would even have a job or insurance after it was all said and done. Turns out he is staying on with the new company and we do have insurance, but I think I may have to jump through alot more hoops to get things approved. My doctor ordered the MRI last week and I still haven't heard back from them, so I guess it's time to start squeaking! The funny thing is, I thought I was due in March for my 3 month MRI, but I am actually due this month. My last one was is November, and somehow I just lost track of the time!
Just know that I'm sending postive energy and prayers your way. Do keep us posted and try to get some rest when you can.
Love, Kim

Steph, thank you for the update! I was worried about you and am glad to hear you're starting to get a little impatient with things, as that's a sure sign you're on the road to recovery Keep smiling, and enjoy those well earned naps.

Can you say N-E-C-R-O-S-I-S ??
The neurosurgeon said that what he removed from the old tumor bed was 100% necrosis and NO tumor evidence found.
So, fooled them all again. Will post above. I know all the good thoughts and prayers were heard and went a long way to keep me in control (means not freaking) during this.
