coughing from Femara?

My mom has been taking Femara for more than 1.5 year. Since a couple of months she's been having dry coughs sometimes. They are not long, 2-3 coughs and gone. Could it be a side effect of Femara? Last night she coughed 2-3 times while sleeping. She takes Femara before bedtime always. I would appreciate if you could share any knowledge or experience on this. Thanks!

I have had a dry cough for a couple of yrs. So far lung scans are always clear. I attributed it to 7 wks of radiation. It seemed to start shortly after I finished radiation. I was coughing before I started Femara, so in my case I don't think it is from Femara. It always scares the bejebers out of my kids when I get a cold and my coughing gets worse. They naturally think I am trying to keep something from them. I love that they are so concerned, but sometimes a cold is just a cold. I hope it is nothing serious in your moms case. Peace Karen

Thank you, Karen! Yes, could be from radiation. Mom's cough seems to be gone and she is doing fine. Wishing you the strongest health and a life up to at least 90 with your kids!
