Neupogen

Hi, all,
I am getting navelbine, which for the past month, every 2 weeks, my white count is down and my onco gives me neupogen, plus 2 days of cipro,
and after this I have to spend most of the week in bed, because I feel so crummy. Is this part of the side effects of the neupogen?
Thank you so much,
have a good weekend,
kathy

Kathy,

I too get Neupogen shots to keep my white count up. I give myself the injections for 3 days following chemo. I get a lot of bone pain from it and like you feel crummy and spend a lot of time in bed.

Hi there,

I definitely felt lousy on the Neupogen. I think that the shots made me feel worse than the chemo sometimes. I finally talked my doc into letting up with them and only using them in dire situations. My count was always very low and in the beginning I was getting 3-4 a week. Finally he would only give them to me if my count was less then .3 and I got a shot about once a week. I'm sorry that they are making you feel bad, just remember that its only temporary..

Love, Kelly
