I say simply mahvalis (marvelous) in my nasty RI accent. It is pleasant to see two of my favorite Warriors together. Please tell Christine that I loved being able to be here myself to share in some of her glory today. Wonderful picture of them two.

Sure hope 'lizbeth can share some highlights with us from the day. (wink, wink)>>Believe51

PS: Goofy is a childhood favorite and hero of sorts for me. I thought that my life would be incomplete without me having a picture taken of us both.

I do know that I would much better prefer a picture with Christine and will strive to meet this amazing person for my own sake. I am one of her greatest fans!!

Thank you for posting the photo. Christine is a delight and I found Joe to be quite the character. I have my her2support pins to wear and share. Plus the nifty pens that light up or write 2 colors.

I spent the morning sorting out all the loot we carted home. Plus we ended up with a $25 gift certificate from Target and me Bill Griffith from San Diego Channel 10. Cool.

Believe 51, I went to the lecture on the latest in breast cancer. It was a nice review but I've already learned much of the latest from this website and a former six month periods reading medical journals.

I went to a Nutrition and Cancer lecture (after learning my body fat was an alarming 36%) and heard that we shouldn't eat more than 20% of our daily calorie from fats. That avoiding sugar isn't as helpful as I'd like, because the cancer will metabolize muscle to get what it needs if glucose isn't available. And studies are showing that exceedingly high doses of vitamins can be just as detrimental as deficiencies. The nutritionist was also a scientist (Phd) that did research on nutrition and cancer. Quite a wealth of knowledge.

The last lecture I attended was on clinical trials. The doctor explained the clinical trial system, Phase I, II and III. I understand better why it is so difficult to get a treatment through these clinical trials, but I didn't learn specifically about what clinical trials are currently available.

My husband, who has had LGL for 11 years, went to the leukemia lecture and got a great education on the basics of cancer.

Awesome 'lizbeth, I am so glad you had a great time. How could you not, I have spoken to these two incredible beings myself and could have stayed there listening for hours. They are like family and talked with ease as if I have known them a lifetime. I found it intriguing and inspirational to hear every word they said and I hung on them all. Christine and Joe are more than just people who run the best breast cancer site around, they are our medicine of suchs, our fuel. They are two extraordinary people who give back far beyond the limits of normal and I am so happy you had the chance to meet.

I am excited about the rest of the day too....did you say a pen that writes with two colors (lol)??? Sorry Honey, I could not resist and I really did laugh outloud with the craziness that I sometimes enters my mind, especially when I put it in print. There is something wrong with me but I am not willing to get help just yet. Still chuckling and today 'that' is my medicine. Thanks for the smiles you always bring to my face, especially those days when one is warrented.>>Believe51
