mammograms

Just wondering how often everyone gets a mammogram? I am past the 5 year NED mark. My onc wants me to continue with yearly mammograms yet insurance only covers them every 2 years now.

Re: mammograms

I get one every year however, my insurance covers it. If they didn't, I would challenge it since it will cost them more if you should have a larger, harder to treat cancer than a very small one.

Re: mammograms

Hi Becky- Saw in your signature that you receive Prolia. Is that covered? I have osteoporosis (side effect of treatment) so I am also getting the twice yearly shot - and it is working really well with no side effects! But my insurance doesn't cover any of the cost until I achieve my deductible and out of pocket.

Re: mammograms

Not covered for me either. It was at first but after that, it wasn't.
