Reclast

Hi I am supposed to start Reclast injections for osteoporosis. Very worried about side effects. Anyone taking this to prevent fracture? Heard Bovine Powder might be helpful in building new bone. Any one using this as an option.

Re: Reclast

I had used this prior to Prolia coming on the market. Fist time, I woke up the next morning with flu-like symptoms. Dragged on the whole day but felt wonderful the the day. Next infusion, it didn't happen and never happened again. Apparently, the first dose does this but isn't ongoing.

It helped me alot but Prolia is supposedly better so I got switched to that

Re: Reclast

I use reclast for osteopenia. I currently get it once every 18 months and it has helped with increased bone density. I received it more frequently during chemo but was off it for 5 years before starting again.

As a PSA, there are different drugs approved for osteoporosis (like Prolia) but are not approved for osteopenia. I would love Prolia if I could get it
