Re: ~Daily Inspirational Quotes.....
I just got out of a pool with about 6 kids in it.
I splashed, jumped around, did flips, made dolphin sounds, spun and sank and jumped up again.
What a blast!
I highly recommend it

Re: ~Daily Inspirational Quotes.....
Here's a thought from Andi's sig line that I like and have quoted as a part of my running-list arsenol of "Cancer Fightin' Words" in my blog http://jpoliver.com/wordpress/archives/688

Re: ~Daily Inspirational Quotes.....
From the excellent book, “When God and Cancer Meet” by Lynn Eib:
“I hate the term ‘cancer victim’ . It somehow implies cancer is the victor. It wins; we lose… While we can do little to choose whether we get cancer, we can do a lot to choose whether we are it’s victims. I don’t just mean whether we live or die. I mean how cancer affects us in the deepest parts of who we are. I believe cancer cannot conquer our spirit unless we choose to become victims .”

Re: ~Daily Inspirational Quotes.....
"And acceptance is the answer to all my problems. When I am disturbed, it is because I find some person, place, thing, or situation-some fact of my life unacceptable to me and I can find no serenity until I accept that person, place, thing, or situation as being exactly the way it is supposed to be at this moment. Nothing, absolutely nothing happens in God's world by mistake."

Re: ~Daily Inspirational Quotes.....
YES Marlys! All our pain comes from our struggling.
Once we accept, we can move on. Free. Open to feel and live with joy and serenity. From day one of dx, I have lived AS IF. As if what I wanted was already making it's way to me.
I knew I was exactly where I needed to be, though surely bc was never what I bargained for. And, as it is, I found myself on the most wondrously miraculous pathway that I would never have begun to imagine otherwise. I've met the most incredible people I would never have encountered otherwise. I've learned so much and become so much more...
Nothing is a mistake. Well the docs' prognoses were -- ill-informed. I chose to survive, despite the dismal stats.
To dance with predetermination. To alter my outcome.
And you can quote me on this...

Re: ~Daily Inspirational Quotes.....
Sent to me today by my minister~
"Blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they gto right on producing delicious fruit" (Jeremiah 17:7-8).

Re: ~Daily Inspirational Quotes.....
Wooohoo on four years NED, Sandra! That's a happy milestone and I'm glad for you. Thank you for sharing that verse--what a lovely word picture and truth to ponder.
Here's a poem that has been a blessing to me in my battles:
“Sometimes on the Rock I tremble
Weak of heart and faint of knee,
But the Steadfast Rock of Ages
Never trembles under me.”

Re: ~Daily Inspirational Quotes.....
Thank you Paula. I love your poem. I had found strenght to go on in Winston Churchill's quote that was at the bottom of my signature. I decided this quote from Jeremiah was so inspirational I just had to change.

Re: ~Daily Inspirational Quotes.....
"Being diagnosed of cancer comes with a lot of uncertainties. It comes with a baggage that is bound to test your very character. Cancer is not the end of your life; it actually marks a new beginning. You should not let this disease rule over your life. It has to be fought, not feared. It can be handled and it can be battled with. Many people have done it, many people have survived it, and so can you...you are not alone in this fight."
