Re: The Campfire
Hi Elaine! I'm right here! I'm sorry I haven't been around as much as I'd like to be, but I've been working alot and still without my own computer. Thanks for keeping the fire going for all of us! Love, Bill

Re: The Campfire
Hi Bill,
Thanks for stopping by and letting us know you are okay. By the way, where was the nice photo taken?
The campfire has been kind of quiet lately. Jackie and I stopped by to keep the fire burning a couple times, but sometimes the fire goes out.
I wonder if everyone would like to stop by for a marshmallow roast, some Halloween tales or some treats on Halloween?

Re: The Campfire
Happy Halloween! It is a good night to sit around the fire. My new pic, Elaine, was taken somewhere near Sedona, Arizona. I hope y'all are doing well.

Re: The Campfire
Very chilly out now.
Here, I brought a Jack-o-lantern for Halloween atmosphere. Also some hot spiced cider.

Re: The Campfire
I'm still here! Doing well, very busy. The mixed abilities dance improvisation group I've been teaching is performing next weekend, I'm in school full time, my son got into a great new school this year, and my husband just got a job after 5+ months of being laid off! The fire feels good on my sore tired muscles. Happy to see you all. Miss Joe.
Love, Celeste

Re: The Campfire
Wow !! You and your family have been busy. I am glad you could come and sit by the fire for a while. It will do you good. I have come to sit for awhile too. I brought my blanket now that the days are getting cooler. It is still nice around the fire though.

Where are you, Bill? Is the indoor spa/outhouse/veranda done, yet?

Re: The Campfire
I think Bill is hiding, because he knows we are waiting for him to finish what he promised. I remember a promise about making flower boxes on the outside of our indoor outhouse. Hey Bill are you out there? It is getting cold and I am tired of going into the cold woods along the river. How about finishing our indoor facilities for us as a Christmas present?

Re: The Campfire
Thanks, Elaine.
I made a batch of Chocolate chip (with mint flavor) cookies for my church friends who came to sing Christmas carols at our house. (There're also a box of store-bought cookies.)
A lot of left-overs. I'm leaving them here by the camp fire as well. Peace, health and joy to you, too.

Re: The Campfire
Chocolate chip mint cookies??????? Yum Yum. Delicious !!
I will eat or drink anything with mint in it. Smile.
I have some Christmas Stollen and hot coffee here. Try some. Stollen is a German bread/cake with fruits and nuts, but not nearly as sweet as fruit cake. I heard they also eat it in Sweden too !! I am going to have Serbian/Italian /Turkish/Asian food for dinner later. Gotta Go.
Happy Holidays everyone !!!!!!!!!

Re: The Campfire
Hi, Elaine:
Just found this camp fire. FUN!
Since you said you love mint, just couldn't resist sharing these with you:
Candy Cane Brownies
It may be too late for candy canes, but you can make them without...the brownies themselves are very minty, and low in sugar. YUM!

Re: The Campfire
Lisa,
The virus has been taken care of by Brenda after Chelee had notified her. There was an 'intruder' on January 3rd who had posted a 'viral' thread in every one of our forums. I by-passed his thread and posted the message on a different thread to caution our members.
It's just sad that we get 'viral attack' every once in a while. Several long-time members have the 'key' to get rid of the virus and usually take care of the problem quickly.
Are you getting you PhD in nutrition? Your 'Pinkkitchen' site looks very nice.

Re: The Campfire
The candy cane brownies sound delicious. I love dark chocolate and mint.
Good luck with your education. The area you are interested in is a good one.
Anyone for some dark chocolate cocoa with some mint and a marshmallow or two?

We need a campfire here. We've had snow on the ground since last Sunday night. Y'all, this is Mississippi.
