Re: Lee's BIG BIG BIG Quiz Thread
Pink Girl,
Since it looks like butting in is possible here I am going to do it!!! Where are the "Kids"? Seems like they have just vanished into thin air. Maybe Becky can tell us what "thin air "is. She has always been able answer my questions.
Love & hugs,
Marlys

Re: Lee's BIG BIG BIG Quiz Thread
Hey, butting in is fine with me ... I have no idea where they are.
I think I'll pm StephN ... she is/was the keeper of the schedule.
I'm sure the Beckster knows all about thin air ... and metric air
and imperial air ...

Re: Lee's BIG BIG BIG Quiz Thread
Okay, time for another quiz. This quiz is a math joke quiz. In this quiz you try to answer these math joke questions. As an example:
The circumference of a jack-o-lantern divided by its diameter = ?
Of course, the answer would be Pumpkin Pi,
Another example:
The weight an evangelist carries with God = ?
The answer would be one Billygram
Anyways, good luck and if you have a problem with an answer, your local math nerd may already think these jokes are old. (Hint: Most of these jokes have something to do with the metric system.)
1. one millionth of a mouthwash = ?
2. Ratio of an igloo's circumference to it's diameter = ?
3. 2,000 pouds of Chinese soup = ?
4. Time between slipping on a peel and smacking the pavement = ?
5. Time it takes to sail 220 yards at one nautical mile per hour = ?
6. 16.5 feet in the Twilight Zone = ?
7. Half of a large intestine = ?
8. One million aches = ?
9. 714 watts of laryngitis = ?
10. The shortest distance between two jokes = ?
11. 454.6 graham crackers = ?
12. One million million microphones = ?
13. 1 million bicycles = ?
14. 2000 mockingbirds = ?
15. 52 cards = ?
16. 1 kilogram of falling figs = ?
17. 1,000 milliliters of wet socks = ?
18. 1 millionth of a fish = ?
19. 1 trillion pins = ?
20. 10 rations = ?
21. 100 rations = ?
22. 2 monograms = ?
23. 4 nickels = ?
24. 2.4 miles of intravenous surgical tubing at Yale University = ?
Good luck.

Re: Lee's BIG BIG BIG Quiz Thread
Good job Pink Girl! Nos. 1 and 4 are correct.
Jackie, if you meant Won Ton then you would be correct for no. 3. No 5 might be one of the harder questions.

Re: Lee's BIG BIG BIG Quiz Thread
Good job everyone! You are all too clever!
Here is a hint on one of the hardest questions:
If you answer question 14, Atticus Finch would be proud of you.

Re: Lee's BIG BIG BIG Quiz Thread
IV league works for me and eskimo pi is a great answer! Decoration is a very clever, and correct answer!
Question No. 21 is tricky. It uses Roman numerals.
