2006 - PROGRESS WITH 2ND TUMOR GROWTH.

PROGRESS STARTING TYKERB/AVASTIN.

Feb 08 - Ixempra/Xeloda
June 08 - Her/DM1 trial

Diagnosed in Sept 2004 while pregnant with the second child. Stage 3b, tumor 4.5cm, 4 auxillary and supraclav node positive. Her2+++ FISH 9.4 and er-,pr-.
Had dose dense neoadjuvant AC,Taxol then mastectomy,radiation+xeloda+Herceptin.

Bilateral mastectomy Sep 06
33 rads after the surgery
1 year of Herceptin completed Dec 07
15 years and no recurrence as of April 2021

Vanessa felt such joy with the birth of her grandchildren. I wish they had had a chance to know her warm, kind spirit.

So sad.  It is sometimes hard for me to remember a person by their avatar, but Vanessa's smiling face and gorgeous hair popped up in my head when I read this just now. She was such a sweet person...
