Hi Sheila & Jackie,

I live in Worth, IL--South Suburbs. I have not been able to drive for over a year due to difficulties of my treatments(vision damage/chemobrain) At time of dx/unemployment had to sell my Saturn. I miss driving but take Public Transportation now not sure when I will be healthy enough to drive again. Oak Brook is about 45 min off 294 from me. Maybe in the future I can attend your monthly get together.

The sleep med is really helping; I am doing better. Enjoyed a nice family picnic at our local park today.

I have always found this site to be informative, supporting and caring from all HER2+-what Joe & Christine have done for all of us is a blessing in my life as a new HER2+ (what the heck is this, help I am scared)

Do we get a degree for our crash course in Breast Cancer? LOL
Take care everyone. Have a nice week.

Tami,

I am a little bit concerned with your last 3 postings. It's more of a "stream of conscious" style.

Are you sleeping better now? What medicine are you taking right now? I think we need a little more details.

Hi Jackie07,
"Stream of consciousness ? I am not sure what you mean by that. Anyway thanks for your concern. My thread "Checking In" I am communicating with my family and friends from all over the US and medical team as well as my HER2 friends.
Meds on: Only Levothyroxine 175 mcg for thyroid disease.
The sleep med was for 8 days only; it helped restore my sleeping disturbances from last Herceptin treatment.
Take Care

Tamara,

Thanks for the clarification. I should have figured it out. I thought you were "presenting your continuous flow of thoughts..." What a smart idea to have a centralized channel for all the members on your 'team'!

Thought I was all done, the onc said today I still have 2 more Herceptin left and another Muga Scan. I thought we only have 12 doses. I was going every 3 weeks. She said a Year would total 17 doses. My thyroid disease really interfered with last Herceptin treatment. Hopefully this next one is easier. Take Care.
