Thanks everyone - Mary Anne was right - the big day is Thursday. I just got back from San Antonio - first SABCS then the Texas Turfgrass show. Yee haa.
I'm *itchin' for my gift Jean!!
I'll still be in my 40's for one more year.

PS - when I went to SABCS, I heard my youngest daughter tell a friend on the phone "she's going to Texas to be with her people".

Finished Herceptin (16 months) 9/06

I think December is a special month, maybe because is the month where Jesus born or because all the city are full with a lot of lights and peoples are nice to each other or maybe because almost 49 years ago was the announcement that a beautiful and smart girl will born and her name will be Becky who in the actually have 2 beautiful daughters will live for many many years ....that is you my friend Becky Happy Birthday to you ..........

Lily Diag April/06 5 months after give birth my son Max stage IV mets on liver (5 tumors) 38 year old, her2+++ and ER+PR+ from32 nodes 4 positives mastectomy right breast chemo before surgery herceptin/carboplatin/taxotere ,clear and surgery have radiation 20, `& then herceptin and tamoxifen NED until Aug/07 body only then 'n June 04-06-07 .1 lesion of 1.6 cm on cerebellum ...novalis ,open sugery 5m.m brain met again novalis, 4mm.In the liver. Waiting 2 months now 3 tumors enroll on T-MCC trial start first infusion Nov 5/07 at Dec 17 scan show one tumor despair the 2nd and 3th diminish Doc said great results until March/08 ct scan show progression 03-05-08 start tykerb & xeloda

Diagnosed in Sept 2004 while pregnant with the second child. Stage 3b, tumor 4.5cm, 4 auxillary and supraclav node positive. Her2+++ FISH 9.4 and er-,pr-.
Had dose dense neoadjuvant AC,Taxol then mastectomy,radiation+xeloda+Herceptin.

Found lump myself 8 months after routine mammogram.
29/11/06-WLE and then re-excision to get clear margins.
Tumour was 1.2cms; Grade3; Er+ Pr+ HER2 3+++; SNB negative out of 9 nodes.
Chemo was Epirubicin every 3wks x4 then Xeloda (2wks on, 1wk off) for 4 cycles. ( I am part of the TACT2 trial.)
Rads x25
Arimidex for 5 yrs.
Hoping to start Herceptin within the next 2 weeks (we have to follow the HERA protocol to qualify for Herceptin in the U.K.) I worry about the delay in starting Herceptin!! Started 8/10/07

10-24-09 Mass 6.4 x 4.7 cm on Rt. femur head.
11-19-09 RT. Femur surgery - Rod placed
12-7-09 Navelbine added to Herceptin/Zometa.
3-23-10 Ten days of rads to RT femur. Completed.
4-05-10 Quit Navelbine--Herceptin/Zometa alone.
5-4-10 Appt. with Dr. Slamon to see what is next? Waiting on FISH results from femur biopsy.
Results to FISH was unsuccessful--this happens less then 2% of the time.
7-7-10 Recurrence to RT axilla again. Back to UCLA for options.
