Imaging; reading early preliminary results thru the tech's eyes
Juli
We are all so very anxious to get results, that we all look for an indication of reslts, even when we go as far as asking the technition for opinions after the scan. As a fellow patient I have been thru countless MRI'S & CT scans and admitt my guilt as well.
It's a futil effort most of the time; clearly because the tech's are not trained to specifcally read the scans, but rather to take them. With our sense of impatience we can learn to have patience to get the real SCAN RESULTSand an educated opinon from the Radiologist report and Conclsions, the most important part of the report. Always follow-up with your Ons to better review of the medical language and terms. Always ask ??????'s before leaving/
Warm hugs
Christine
