I was praying for you

Michelle, I have watched your courage and prayed for you from time to time, but I was really goin at it this time. I felt for you so deeply. Congratulations on your great news! You must feel just wonderful now. And are we seeing evidence of success with the trials you have been so brave to participate in?

I am taking way more supplements than you! I started about 6 weeks ago, and I ran them all by my onc. She was pleased, but it makes your list look pretty short so now I'm kind of nervous I'm doing too much?????

Have a Great Christmas!!!!! You deserve it.

Dear Michelle,

I'm so glad for the great news. There is one thing I like to tell you; you are very worried all the time. I know this terrible disease has done this to us, but remember "don't die before you die" and "don't worry every day, if it comes back you deal with it that day, enjoy today".
Big hug,

Gina, jumping in...smile...

Yes, Michele..this is truly WONDERFUL news...and I am so proud of you have consistently been so PRO-ACTIVE in getting all the scans and second opinions and other information you needed to make informed decisions ALL ALONG THE WAY. Congratulations and keep up the good work. I say keep taking the mushroom...keep taking anything you are using that is food-based if you think it is helping and making you feel better and better. I would definitely stay on the olive leaf or olive oil..whichever you are using..keep zinc'ing those feet, girl..smile..I know it gets to be a pain, but you need to keep your lymphs up for good energy and long-term her-2 stability. I would be sure I was getting plenty of magnesium in my diet or take an extra tab or so, as we've discussed. I know the Evening Primrose /GLA issue is so controversial...but for folks who are ER-PR-her-2+++ and premenstral...I think it is a great supplement with her-2 mediated disease, just be sure NOT TO TAKE TOO MUCH of it..no more than 500mg a day...some herbalists recommend not taking it at all the week of your cycle, because in some folks, it can make cramping more painful. In the non-cancer world, it is usually prescribed to relieve PMS breast tenderness...magnesium will help with that as well and often alleviate the headaches with PMS as well. I am not sure what else you are doing, but just remember this basic rule of thumb: As long as the body is working more or less normally, if you ingest too much of something, the body is naturally programmed to get rid of whatever it is, as long as you have good kidney and bowel function. The danger of deficiency in her-2 mediated disease is much greater and harder to diagnose because as we have seen, one can be deficient in many subtle ways...KEEP up the GREAT work...if you want to discuss more in depth, just e-mail me any time...AGAIN, I am so THRILLED FOR YOU!--Gina Popp GPopp@Comcast.net
