Sorry for th late reply but yes Moon is still alive. He has had the tumor for over a year now. It is growing but seems to be at a slow rate. When he gets too tired to take his walks, my husband wraps a strap around his stomach and lifts it slightly to help support and take the weight off his legs. The vet said that the tumor will eventually break the bone and will develop it's own blood supply and be messy with blood. We have not decided to put him down yet becuase he has big appetite and still enjoys playing with us and our other pets. When we think he is in pain, a pain pill every couple days seems to help. (just like me, I guess, Ha!!) Aren't his pictures beautiful, my big white boy has given me lots of love throughout the years.

more thoughts to you

Malena, I'm sorry for all the burden you are handling right now. Illness in pets, to me, is one of the hardest things to face. I too lost a dog to cancer in 2005 while in treatment for met progression. I had no idea how much it can tear you up. Anyway, I'm hoping and praying for you, mom and the puppy that solutions can be created and be ffective and that the sun will shine for all of you.
