Kimber,
So sorry to hear about your loss. Like everyone else we too lost a beloved pet...a golden retriever named Connor in April. I still talk to my kids ( 9 & 6 years old) about how Connor is in heaven, chasing bunnies, floating on clouds, eating treats and taking naps. I have to tell you, that the more we talk about it, I have decided that I think that is exactly what happens to our beloved pets. Connor loved all animals....dogs and cats alike. I hope he has warmly welcomed Fritz to heaven, and perhaps they are sharing a fluffy cloud. It takes faith to believe this, but my kids have chosen to believe it, and I have too. It makes the pain so much easier to bear.
Thinking of you

I am so sorry for both of you....we love our pets so much and they are so family to us. I had to have my chocolate lab put down 3 years ago, right when I was going through a recurrence...my lab developed cancer too, in the lymph nodes, which was where my recurrence was...it was awful...back then, the vet wouldn't come to the house...we had to take her there....she hated the vet! I held her while they put her down, one of the hardest things I've ever done...still brings tears to my eyes.
To resolve my sadness (and I might say in a grief sticken state) I purchaed 2 black lab sisters that were 8 weeks old...I couldn't choose so I got both....they were so cute! Well now, 3 years later, and several pairs of shoes, rugs, a chair, a sliding patio door and a few chomps of drywall....they are WONDERFUL...over 100# each, but I love them dearly....they even fight like sisters....so through the sadness, may each of you find a rainbow as I did!

Only another pet owner can understand how devastating the loss of a pet can be. I am so sorry you lost Fritz tonight. Thank goodness he was by your side for all you had to go through though. They are smarter than most think. My dog, Riley never left my side and still doesn't. He shadows me wherever I go. We love our pets but their life spans are so short and it is so hard to lose them. I hope in time you will be able to get another companion who is as dedicated as Fritz was.

The Bible says that the lion will lay down with the lamb so don't try to tell me that we won't meet our pets in heaven!! I can not imagine it will be otherwise. And remember all the fun time they have given us here on earth!!
Love & hugs,
Marlys

My heart truely goes out to you both. It does not matter if you have had this animal for 1 year or 20 they are part of your family and you life. They touch you ways no human can. Unconditional love ( well my cats somethimes have conditions) but you know what I mean. Please remember that Fritz and Leo and all the others we have and will lose will be waiting for us on the rainbow bridge when it is finally time for us to join them. And they are young and healthy and very happy to see us. Then we cross over the bridge together as a family.

Hi Kimber!
Oh, how sweet is the time we spend with our fur friends! My little black and white fur friends have been so consoling to me through this past 13 months! I can't imagine how you must feel now. But Fritz will be off to heaven to serve there and wait for you. Thank you God for all the Fritz' in our world. They make our journey so much sweeter!
So very sorry you have lost your special pal.
