Re: Link between Fertility Drugs and Cancer

das, my onc said that he would normally not give chemo to someone with my pathology (3 tumors all under 1cm-node neg-bx mastectomy) but bcause of the Her2+ he felt it would be good preventative tx. So he 'reserves' this specific tx for cases like mine-3X FEC-3X Taxotere-Herceptin wkly for 9 wks. It's not a common tx in the U.S. But, a few women on these boards who live abroad have been on the same tx.

Jackie-I fell on the wrong side of those statistics. I had my first child at 24, then 26, then 29 (and nursed all 3.) I have no relatives with bc and I am Hispanic. I remarried and my husband wanted bio children, so at the age of 40 I started fertility tx. I guess that's why I feel that fert tx had something to do with my diagnosis.
