update on daughter
My daughter has been moved out of ICU and into the regular medical floor. They are still working on finding the right drug doseage to achieve the optimum blood thickness and she may be dischaged Tuesday or Wednesday. She will need rest at home and will have to go to a hematologist for further test to try and uncover the cause. To me, this is moot, as something like this was predictable. Yes there may be risk factors or predispositions BUT you still need the catalyst; cortisol?? See response to Berta's stress post. That said, she was pretty upbeat today.

Oh Al, I am praying so hard for you and your daughter. I am hoping it is something they can take care of easily. I'm sorry you are having to go through this so soon after Lindas death, please take care of yourself. You have got to be totally worn out..sherryg683

I missed the original diagnosis, but am so sorry that you are going through this with your daughter. Everyone should get a free pass once you've been through something like this. Please know you and your daughter are in my prayers. I hope she continues to improve and gets an easy to fix answer!!!

thanks for the support guys, Maryanne, one thing I've learned quit painfully I might add, is there are no free lunches on this planet... maybe the next one will be kinder to all of us!

Al,
So sorry that your daughter is having all these problems. She's lucky she has you to lean on and for you to watch out for her. My prayers are with you.
