Good news down under!
Hi all
I had a CT scan yesterday which showed that my liver "spot" was gone and a review of the previous scan 9 weeks ago was also clear. I had been told (erroneously) 9 weeks ago that spot had shrunk to 5 mm from 15 mm when actually it was gone. So that means that 3 tx of herceptin and taxol reduced it to zero. I have since had another three tx but now am just having herceptin every three weeks. Thank you everyone for your support.
Cheers
Jackie

Happy to hear that!
Jackie -
Very glad to hear that you should be NED now. I also took three "extra" treatments of taxol and navelbine just to make sure that the last little spots were really scars and no longer active tumor. It was worth doing that - in my case by choice, and onc's advice - as I have had no recurrence in my liver or bones.
I hope the same for you, that you can stay off chemo as long as I have now.

Great news!
I love this site. On the days when I am down (tho not downunder ha, ha) I noodle around it for stories like this to cheer me up.
Thanks for helping me.

Great news Jackie! I myself have been fighting one spot in my liver. It now measures 1.2 mm based on my CT scan from last week from 3.4 on the original diagnosis. I stopped chemo in December and have been on weekly Herceptin.
I am happy for you.
