Thinking of Steph
I was just wondering if anybody knows where Steph is having her surgery today. I wanted to send her a little something to cheer her up.

I assume University of Washington in Seattle but that is only a guess. I spoke to her yesterday and she hopes to be discharged on Saturday.

To Kim in CA
Hi Kim,
I do not know where Steph is having her surgery, but I do have her home address. However, I am hesitated to put this out here, just to respect her privacy.
I wlll mail her a get-well card from all of us her2 folks. :-)
You may want to send her anyting else to your liking, should you have her home address.
Coming back later ~

Dear JoJo,
Thank you for sending a card on our behalf; we have all been thinking of Steph and worried for her and you took the thoughtful step of putting our thoughts in writing. We will all be relieved when Steph is "back in the saddle".
Love Kim from CT

Thanks Jo Jo,
I tried calling UW on Thurs. and they would not even confirm that Steph was there because I was not family. That's a good thing I guess. I just sooo wanted her to know how much I'm thinking of her. Kim

Steph
I guess women all over the world (I'm in Europe) are thinking about Steph, hoping that all has gone smoothly (and that perhaps it was necrosis after all), and looking forward to her return, and the return of her cheerful, sensible, well-informed posts.
When you read this Steph - all the best from so many people,
Tessa

Mail - snail and cyber
After a pretty good night's sleep, I watched the USA women play Germany in Hockey.
Thanks again to everyone for the good thoughts and prayers. It all must be getting through, as I am doing pretty well. Just feel like I have a very bad whiplash injury (I have had that before, thanks to careless drivers).
Now I have an ice pack tied around my neck and this does help. I had to ask for these in the hospital as the nurses did not offer, guess they have a lot to do and wait for the patient to request some things. ALso did warm blankets around my neck and shoulders alternating with the cold. Once the nurses saw that I was on a hot/cold routine, they kept it up. They are mainly concerned that we are not in pain, but that was not my worst problem.
So far no cards in my mail, but will be looking for them tomorrow. Thanks for the thought.
Am supposed to have my Herceptin on Tuesday, but my neck is too stiff to turn while driving, so need to make an arrangement about this. Otherwise things are in place. And my hubby is a good chef!
