Re: Exposure to nighttime artificial lights linked with higher risk of thyroid cancer

Exposure to artificial light may decrease the secretion of melatonin and Melatonin (Made from serotonin in the pineal gland) seems to have anti-cancer action. My dog developed a desmoid tumour years back that had spindle cells in the biopsy. These were kind of premalignant. I started giving him melatonin every night and the tumor did grow back
but there were no spindle cells in it. He is 12 years old now and still spunky but of course slowing down. My wife and I hope Beethoven will make it to 14. W both take 20mg Melatonin at night. Really cant hurt and might help. It does help you sleep.
