Either silenced or enhanced endocannabinoid signaling derails these processes. This is a trait of endocannabinoid signaling that provides a route for medical manipulation in each pregnancy event. However, the in-depth mechanism by which endocannabinoid signaling exerts its role is still not clear. In addition, it would be interesting to study the mechanism behind how lower and higher cannabinoid signaling generates similar phenotypes. Further studies on endocannabinoid signaling with respect to female reproduction will generate new molecular mechanisms governing pregnancy events."
