Other than Cancer: What's going on in your life?

The Director said she would get me a one-year extension on both the pre-dissertation requirements and the 7 year "statute of limitations." I need an evaluation from my doctor, and she has said she'll do whatever it takes.

I am very relieved. In addition to my desire to be a scholar, there's also the awesome health insurance that I have through the university. I need that.
